Dull and sallow impressions are often caused by a slight yellow cast from the darkened melanin that remains, even after a regular exfoliation. Traditionally pink was used to add a healthy tint and lavender was used to counteract a yellow cast. But often tints are used individually and do not produce the perfect impression. Lavender often gives a grey or cool cast to the skin without sufficient pinkness in the skin and Pink by itself will not counteract the yellow cast.
